Position Overview The Milling Operator operates equipment used for milling and removing existing asphalt to prepare the surface for new asphalt.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Adhere to and follow all safety rules and regulations of MSHA/OSHA/DOT and Pennsy Supply, Inc.
Conduct daily safety assignments (area inspections, pre-shifts, JSA's, TRACK, etc.
Create level surfaces, grade slopes to specifications, grade aggregate to level surfaces.
Understanding of different types of and classes of aggregates and earth.
Possess a solid understanding of aspects of the road construction industry including preparatory work, grades, drainage, aggregate size, state, federal and local job specifications, machine control guidance, and compaction.
Must be willing and able to perform duties associated with the efficient working condition of the equipment Minor servicing and maintenance of equipment or refer major problems to the supervisor.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements Must submit to a drug screen and criminal background check.
Ability to do basic math.
Current driver's license.
Able to work various times during day, night or weekend hours, at various locations.
Education/Experience High school Diploma or GED equivalent.
1-2 years of experience preferred.
